1994年，由DAMON WAY和KEN BLOCK兩人在美國共同創立，兩人不僅大學同學也同樣喜愛滑板運動，因而想創辦專業滑板裝備品牌。一開始將品牌命名為EIGHT BALL，接著更名為DROORS，DC其實就是DROORS CLOTHING的縮寫，最終品牌定名為DC SHOES。
