理查德·伍爾科特 (Richard Woolcott) 和塔克·霍爾 (Tucker Hall)
踏上了一次永遠改變他們生活的滑雪之旅。
在塔霍之行期間，他和塔克也討論過創辦一家服裝公司，
但一切都沒有真正敲定。那年晚春的時候，
兩人提出了圍繞他們喜歡的運動（單板滑雪、滑板和衝浪）創辦公司的想法。
他們從理查德的父親那裡獲得了 5,000 美元的初始資金，便有這個開始。
首先是名字然後是核心，Volcom 誕生了。
