BY SKATEBOARDERS FOR SKATEBOARDERS

Bakerboys Distribution was not founded by just any skate pros. Andrew Reynolds, Jim Greco and Erik Ellington, three well-proven veterans, took up the cause and pulled it through without compromise. While Andrew Reynolds continues to primarily steer the fortunes of Baker Skateboards, Jim Greco and Erik Ellington took off with Deathwish.

The name alone makes it clear that the team is not composed of soft-washed skateboard athletes. Whether it's Pedro Delfino's spontaneous spot attacks or Jon Dickson's skills - the Deathwish team always shows the most rigorous skating in their numerous videos and photos. Currently Taylor Kirby, Neen Williams, Jamie Foy, Jake Hayes, Victoria Ruesga & Julian Davidson are on the road for Deathwish skateboards.

After the first promo video "Baker Has A Deathwish" in 2008, the long-awaited full-length video followed with the simple title "The Deathwish Video". In the video, the spirit of Deathwish is well conveyed: intense skateboarding! Even the old guard in the form of Jim Greco and Erik Ellington still give it their all in the form of creative spot choices and hammers for anything but a death wish.

DIY AESTHETICS AT DEATHWISH SKATEBOARDS

A look at Deathwish's deck collection shows the connection between punk and DIY culture. The logo font present on many boards is jagged and has also been immortalized on some team riders as a stick and poke tattoo. The logo also presents itself, which represents the DIY spirit of the label with its stencil look. In between, however, there are also decks with very detailed illustrations and eye-catching themes.

The many years of experience behind the brand is also noticeable in the selection of the woodshop. All Deathwish decks are solidly crafted and made from 7 layers of North American maple. Even if you have no immediate death wish, with a skateboard deck from Deathwish you're well equipped for your next skate session.
